December 2012 will mark the end of the 5,126 year era of the Mayan
Calendar and is a time of renewal, rebirth, renaissance and new beginnings. In
honor of this historic and spiritual moment, thirty-six adventurous, fortunate
and spiritually motivated couples along with 218 of their closest friends and
family will partake in an exclusive and unique Mayan Marriage of Many wedding
celebration in Belize (staged on an ancient Maya Temple at the 3200 year old
Mayan City of Cahal Pech) on December 12, 2012. At the same time, in five
other exotic resort locations in Ambergris Caye, five additional couples will
each hold their own separate full court fairytale wedding nuptials event.
"There is
no place in the world like Belize," according to Lara Goldman (a Philadelphia-native who moved to San Pedro, Belize over five years ago), a destination management
consultant, and owner and founder of 12 Productions Belize. "As the home
of the Western Hemisphere's largest barrier reef and majestic mountains dotted
with Maya sites, the English speaking country of Belize is uniquely positioned to become
the authentic culturally rich destination wedding location for those looking to
celebrate their love and good fortune in a truly epic way," explains
Goldman "This romantic and tropical destination event is a once in a
lifetime experience in paradise for the 36 bridal couples and their lucky
guests. And, since this is the only place in the Yucatan where you can get married on the
Maya Temple itself (dating back to 1200 BC), guests are really going to get
something extraordinarily different," Goldman adds.
The 10-day
event begins as soon as guests disembark in Belize International. "They will be
transported both literally and figuratively to an experience that will awake
all five senses with centuries old Mayan recipes, dancing, music and art of this
fascinating ancient culture," describes Goldman. "The brides and
grooms will enjoy a cocktail reception at the Cahal Pech Maya Museum, a welcome
breakfast, a Maya themed rehearsal dinner with entertainment galore, and the
Maya Marriage of Many Wedding Event on 12.12.12," Goldman says.
Brides, grooms
and guests will be able to enjoy an exciting choice of activities Belize has to offer including zip lining, Maya massage and
other healing, arts medicine trails with Maya shaman, horseback riding, Caracol
and other Maya site exploration, bird watching, kayaking, cave tubing,
exploring ancient caves with human remains, museums, botanical gardens, a world
class zoo (amazing!), repelling, spelunking, scuba diving, snorkeling,
helicopter tours, mountain biking, yoga and more.
"Each
couple will be able to invite 6 of their closet loved ones to witness the
marriage and enjoy the celebration from December 9-13, 2012," explains Goldman.
"This is an event and time couples and guests will never forget,"
Goldman adds.
Package for the group
weddings in Cahal Pech range from $14,030 to $24,030 for the Bridal Couple (depending on their
chosen hotel and other add-on options) and includes a 5-night Mini-Moon, all
receptions, day tours, etc. Packages for guest couples start at $5,030 for December 9-13, 2012, with custom
mini-cations also available. For additional information on wedding events,

Flights to Belize are often more expensive that we like to see, but lately we have been able to secure cheap airline tickets for many of our Belize clients.

Beautiful shots! This reminds me of Annaberg Sugar Ruins on St. John in the USVI. The ancient structure with the vibrant caribbean flora and fauna set one another off beautifully.
